A graduate of Syracuse University, Michael Martineau began his show business career as a talent agent in 1964.  Coincidentally thrust into the gold rush of superstars, rock festivals and global tours, Martineau worked on the careers of recording artists like:Herman's Hermits, The AnimalsandThe Hollies.  Later, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, Cat Stevens, Led Zeppelin, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Yes, The Who, Santana, Neil Young and The Eagles among others.

In 1975, Martineau became personally involved in the skyrocketing successes ofEarth, Wind & Fire and Lionel Richie,prompting him to open his own talent agency with offices in New York and Los Angeles.  In addition to receiving dozens of gold and platinum record awards for his efforts Martineau represented two TONY AWARD winning productions, won by his client Diana Rossfor her Broadway Palace Theater performance Diana and byJulie Harris,for her starring role in The Belle of AmherstHe also represented the touring companies of National Lampoon, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Star Trek,starring William Shatnerand Clarence Darrow, withHenry Fonda.

Martineau’s prior film experience includes involvement in the production aspects of several music films, among them, Sergeant Pepper, Tommy, Thank God It's Friday, and Saturday Night Fever(most recently Year Of The Comet in an Executive Producer deal for Castlerock Films).

After a brief retirement to the Virgin Islands where he wrote and successfully published a novel titled Let’s Get Rowdy! (including the sale of the film rights), Martineau resumed his career to create screenplays and novels, as well as produce, musically design and market motion pictures.  Martineau is currently working on the various literary and production aspects of several original film properties he created, including three children's books.

1.  Wrote and published a novel titled: Let’s Get Rowdy! initially sold only in the Virgin Islands to test market the storyline.  The book was so successful it sold out three-printings (amounting to 10,000 copies to visiting tourists by word of mouth only, and is curently published in paperback by IBC in London, England).

2.  While still living in the Caribbean Martineau signed an unsolicited offer of $30,000.00 U.S. net funds against royalties for the reprint rights to Let’s Get Rowdy! for Japan through Watanabe Publishing.

3.  Two unsolicited movie offers for Let’s Get Rowdy! followed.  A deal presented by Joseph E. Levine Presents, Inc., amounting to a combined rights sale of $315,000.00 was accepted.  Mr. Levine passed away during pre-production and all rights reverted back to Martineau. 

4.  After returning to the U.S. Martineau created the original novel and screenplay Occam's Razor, an Action Adventure/Fantasy/Love Story containing a hopeful environmental message earning the prestigious distinction of being the 'first screenplay' to be endorsed by the United Nations.  His books are currently published by Nightengale Press in Chicago.

5.  During this time Martineau worked on the successful packaging and sale of two old WILLIAM GOLDMAN screenplays:  Year Of The Comet for Castlerock Films, starring PENELOPE ANNE MILLER and TED DALEY, directed by PETER YATES, which was produced and released.  The other Goldman property is Sea Kings, an Executive Producer deal optioned by Universal Pictures.
